This Eastern Swallowtail buzzed by my face a few times while I was weeding my vegetable garden before landing on those Dianthus flowers a short distance away. I went inside to grab my camera, hoping it needed a rest long enough for me to get back and snap a few images. I got back in time to grab 7 images with only one in focus while it’s wings were spread showing off it’s pretty colors. Sometimes it’s worth it to make the effort, even if for just one.
